literature: it calls into question the generalizability of, and explanations for, the findings themselves. Are the strikingly consistent findings of medical socialization research truly inherent in medical education itself, evidence of some sort of global medical culture, or are they at least in part products of a wealthy Northern setting? What happens when the biomedical training studied in the “developed” world is exported to the “developing” one?
